Broome, Australia, is an intriguing place to visit. Located in the very western area of the Kimberley region with the Indian Ocean on one side and Roebuck Bay on the other side, Broome is the largest town in Kimberley. It is a beautiful tropical paradise that boasts of white beaches, turquoise waters, cliffs that turn red at sunset, coconut palms, colourful gardens, bustling resorts, and being the last frontier of the Australian Outback. Broome is a location in Australia that is often neglected when people ponder about a visit to or trip in Australia.

Spectacular Cable Beach is nearby and offers parasols on the beach, calm waters for swimming, swim club competitions, the rental of surf and boogie boards, and even camel rides from three different companies! The view is especially magnificent at sunset when the sky colours go from blue to turquoise to pink to purple.

Broome is also the world’s Pearling Capital and is influenced by the many Chinese and Japanese who came to this town at the start of the pearling industry. Cultured pearls are still one of Broome’s main industries along with tourism, fishing, and cattle.

A key factor, however, in the success of Broome was Lord Alistair McAlpine, a British aristocrat, who fell in love with the area and invested heavily in developing the town during the 1980s. “Lord Mac’s” residence is now a very stylish adult retreat.

With a local population of less than 15,000, the number swells to more than 45,000 each month in Broome during the tourist season from late May to early September. Visitors flock to the Saturday morning markets held in the gardens of the courthouse, which is a historic building. Another historic attraction is the Sun Picture Theatre which is the oldest open-air operational theatre in the world.

St. Kilda is a top tourist destination thanks to its picturesque location and quaint history. Located near the city and beaches and with plenty of music and dining venues close at hand, St. Kilda is the perfect spot to sit and enjoy a beer on the water. Whether you’re visiting the Esplanade Hotel, the sea baths, or quirky Luna Park, you’ll find there’s always something to explore in St. Kilda.

Before you finish your holiday in Melbourne, be sure to visit Queen Victoria Markets. Jewellery, clothing, home wares, handbags, art, and accessories: Whatever you need, you can find it here. When you’ve shopped until you are ready to drop, head over to the Deli Hall for some refreshments so that you can start all over again.

Booking airline tickets to Australia or to anywhere for that matter can be a bit of a nightmare. The hassle of finding good deals, reading the fine print and then comparing results across the board is further compounded by the sheer volume of marketing material available both in print and on the web.

Indeed, negotiating this maze of advertising content is half the battle. Prospective fliers are encouraged to read through every deal with care in order to avoid promotional pitfalls. Comb the fine print. Often airlines will advertise prices excluding airport tax or tickets ‘starting from’ a very low price. In reality, there are usually one or two seats which cost this amount and they go almost immediately leaving only more expensive options behind.

Reviewers of flight deals and hotel pacakages to Sydney, London and New York – some of the world’s most popular destinations – remind potential travellers that the time at which tickets are bought can dramatically affect the price. Flights booked well in advance are cheaper, as are those booked a few days before take-off.

In addition, fliers are encouraged to brave the labyrinth of promotional content and shop around. There are a number of online comparison generators which will allow browsers quickly and easily to spot the cheapest deal.

In short, buying tickets and getting a ‘good deal’ has become something of a complex procedure. With every airline suggesting its own flights are the most affordable it is difficult to know how or when to book. However, with a few hints from experienced fliers, prospective travellers should find it easy to source and secure tickets that are good value for money.

Until a few years ago, the aviation industry was booming and it was possible to find international flights at ridiculously cheap rates. Today however, the situation is radically different. The global recession and rising fuel prices have hit the airline industry and it is increasingly difficult to find cheap airfares.

Australia is a highly popular destination so there is more choice when it comes to finding a flight Sydney or Perth bound. However, it can still be tricky to find a cheap flight on your preferred dates and route. The key lies in exploring all the different options available.

While going to Sydney or indeed any international destination, one must be aware of which times offer the cheapest deals. For example, going in the thick of holiday season is likely to be much cheaper not only in terms of airfares but also accommodation and other expenses.

Comparison websites can be a great tool while looking for cheap flights. Often price comparison sites have special deals or offers that are not available anywhere else, even directly from the airline itself.

Persistent searching is likely to pay off as deals come and go quickly. Keep looking at various airlines operating the sector you want, operate with a certain amount of flexibility and you will find a great deal on airfares!

There are many reasons to visit Adelaide. It’s the beautiful capital of South Australia that is gaining popularity with North American tourists due to its cosmopolitan atmosphere and friendly locals.

Adelaide can accommodate any traveller; almost any kind of vacation is possible. It’s only 20 miles from the coast at Glenelg, so digging your toes into the sand and soaking up the sun–in December–is most certainly possible. You will be the envy of your friends (back in the USA) when you return with a radiant tan in the middle of winter!

If you prefer an active way to catch the Australian summer, Adelaide is also a sports hub. It’s host to two gorgeous public 18-hole golf courses in addition to several beautiful private courses. If you’re more of a spectator, Adelaide hosts two Australian Rules football teams. This sport combines aspects of rugby, soccer, and American football that makes for an action-packed match. It’s guaranteed to be an unforgettable experience; Australian’s enthusiasm for the sport is contagious. Adelaide also hosts many national and international rugby and cricket matches, and tennis, basketball, and sailing are all cherished past-times.

Adelaide can also provide a more relaxing vacation. It is known for its original architecture, and it’s referred to as the city of churches. Many of these structural wonders are located near many of the Adelaide hotels and accommodation and are in walking distance. You can also take a stroll through the lovely Botanical Gardens.

Also some of Adelaide’s fantastic restaurants are within walking distance. Adelaide has more restaurants per capita than any other city in Australia, and any type of food you are craving is in close proximity. If you’re a wine aficionado, there are many nearby wine districts, and there are several bus tours through the vineyards that rival the best in the world.

Australia is beautiful and inhabited by some of the friendliest people you’ll ever meet. Adelaide is a superior choice because it offers the metropolitan experience without the problems major metropolises experience. So who wants to visit adelaide? I do!

You may also need to be willing to take alternate routes with your return flights to Sydney. If you are travelling from Europe, you may stop over in Asia. A flight from New York may include stopovers in one of several different American cities. Domestic flights to Sydney may or may not include layovers.

Your return flight will arrive at Kingsford-Smith Airport. More than 30 different airlines connect Sydney to the rest of the world, with cities like Hong Kong, Bangkok, Singapore, Tokyo, London, and Paris each providing multiple daily flights. Other major cities like Los Angeles, Vancouver, and Buenos Aires fly directly into Sydney regularly.

Once at Kingsford-Smith Airport, you will have access to a variety of transportation options to get you to your final destination. Taxis, trains, buses, and shuttles can take you to all Sydney stations or to city’s centre.

1. Before you head off on your holiday, make a detailed travel itinerary. This country is filled with exciting places, beautiful beaches and lush resorts, but it is also an enormous country and is nearly as large as the mainland U.S. You could spend years here and still not see everything it has to offer. Knowing where you want to go ahead of time can help you plan the best routes and best ways of getting there.

2. Research your airline tickets, and purchase them at least 21 days ahead of time for the best deals. If you will be travelling within the country, realize that distances between major and capital cities are great. Flying will often be the fastest way to move between cities, but it is not your only option. For a one-of-a-kind view of the countryside, you can also opt for train travel. Rugged adventurers who are up for a road trip may wish to hire a car and drive from city to city.

3. Accommodations are plentiful in Australian cities and include hotels, motels, furnished apartments and more. They are often less available off the beaten path, however. Book your accommodations ahead of time, and research your options if you are planning to spend time in the outback or in the national parks.

Finally, before you leave your home, remember to sort out the formalities of your trip, including travel insurance, visas and passports, credit cards or debit cards, cash, and contact information.
